South Gloucestershire Council has funded Care Focus (South West) CIC to set up and run a Dignity in Care Network for care providers during 2016/17.
All care providers who are based or provide a service in South Gloucestershire area are invited to join this Network. Three meetings a year will be held, each one following one of the 10 Dignity Challenges. Meetings will include invited speaker(s), workshop discussions, an opportunity to share good practice and to network with other care providers.

Speakers: Sanchita Hosali, Deputy Director of the British Institute of Human Rights
Sanchita is a recognised expert in human rights and equalities law, policy and practice, with over fifteen years of working both in the UK and internationally. As Deputy Director at BIHR, Sanchita oversees operations and manages the delivery of BIHR’s education, outreach and information services with a lead role in policy and campaigning. Sanchita has a particular expertise in addressing violence against women from a human rights perspective. She has previously held roles as an academic researcher, freelance researcher and worked on lead policy and strategy development in other organisations. Sanchita holds an LLM in Human Rights Law and a LLB in Law.

- Inspire local people to take action and share good practice
- Transform services by supporting people
- Reward and recognise those staff and teams that make a difference and go the extra mile
The Dignity in Care network is about sharing ideas with other Dignity Champions in addition to learning more about important issues in care and support.

Aquila Partnership CIC who organised the Dignity in Care Network since 2012 ceased trading on the 31st December. South Gloucestershire Council has now funded Care Focus (South West) CIC to continue running the network for 2016/17. The aim is to grow the network over the next year and cover important topics relating to Dignity to provide an opportunity for care providers to network and share ideas.
